As part of our Half Term Programme we put on a girls only open day, inviting all girls and their parents or guardians to come and participate in a day of fun! Our young people made candles, designed t-shirts, decorated cakes and much more. Female officers from the metropolitan police also came long to participate with the young people and be available to offer any advice or guidance.
Our open days were a huge success! We are determined to make Newark Youth London a youth lead organisation, so we asked the young people who attended the open day what they would like to see at our girls only youth club sessions, and now we have some amazing ideas for sessions to come!
We hope to do more events like this in the future, and are excited for the Girls Only Sessions to really take off in 2022!
